Post-doctorate internship in Watershed Management at the Universidade Federal do Ceará, Brazil (2010-2013) and in agro-hydrological Modelling in the Université du Maine, France (2014). Currently is Associate Professor in the Centro de Ciências Agrárias e da Biodiversidade – CCAB of the Universidade Federal do Cariri (UFCA). Has experience in Agricultural Engineering, acting mainly on the following topics: water quality and watershed management.

Andréa Dardes de Almeida Castanho, Ph.D. | Lattes
Graduated in Physics by the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) (1996), master’s (1999) and Ph.D. (2005) in Physics/Atmospheric Sciences by the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Worked on a post-doctorate ate the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for three years, at the Woods Hole Research Center for another three years and three years in the MASSA group at the Universidade Federal do Ceará. Recently took over a position as an Associate Researcher at the WHRC, where she has focused her research in calibration, validation and application of global vegetation numeric models for a better characterization of the biogeophysical processes in the Amazon. She is a researcher interested in better understanding the human impacts on the coupled atmosphere and biosphere system of Earth’s ecosystems, with particular interest in the Amazon Rainforest, the Cerrado and the Caatinga.

Prof. Cláudio Clemente Faria Barbosa, Ph.D. | Lattes
Graduated inEngineering by the Universidade do Vale do Paraí­ba (UNIVAP) (1980), with master’s (1997) and Ph.D. (2005) in Remote Sensoring by the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais. Currently works as a technologist for the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE). Has experience in the area of Computation and Geoscience with emphasis in Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensoring, acting mainly in the development of applications of these technologies in aquatic eossystems. Participates in research in the Geome Thematic Network and develops models on the functioning of flood areas using remote sensoring and in situ data.

Profa. Evlyn Márcia Leão de Moraes Novo, Ph.D. | Lattes
Graduated in Geography by the Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Rio Claro (1973), with master’s in Remote Sensoring by the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE)(1976) and a Ph.D. in Geography in the area of Physical Geography by the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) (1984). Currently Researcher III of the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE). Has experience in Geosciences with emphasis in Remote Sensoring acting mainly in the development of new applications of this technology to the study and management of water resources. Participates as a researcher in the Geome Thematic Network, in studies focused on the integration of Space Technology and Remote Sensoring in the development of models on the functioning of flood areas. Is a professorin the Graduate Program in Remote Sensoring at the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais since 1985.
